Next week we
celebrate Mother’s Day which is always a special service here at Park
Avenue. We feel it is very biblical to
honor our mothers and those special ladies in our lives that make life a
blessing.
We will have a
fifth Wednesday Praise Night on May 31st.
This is always a special night of worship where the Praise Team will
present some new favorite hymns and
praise songs for you to learn.
We also
dedicate a portion of this service to sing old favorites...so come prepared
with your request.
Our
Intergeneration Mission Trip to Casa de la Esperanza is August 2-9. We will
meet after worship on Sunday, June 4 for a Mexican Lunch and a short

that we begin our planning and praying.

price for camp OC can no longer be offered if you register after next Sunday
May 14th.
Senior Banquet
Gifts
It has been a
much beloved tradition at Park Avenue to
treat our graduating seniors with gifts on senior Sunday as they prepare to
start the next chapter in their lives. I wanted to say thank you to the many
people who give to our grads and also add some detail and reminders about the
way we will set up the gift table. Our fabulous junior parents are in the
process of crafting some nice baskets for each senior and these will function as gift receptacles on Sunday
morning the 21st. We began doing this style of gift giving last year and will
continue in this way for the foreseeable future. If you have a gift larger than
a picnic basket or so we would ask that you find a way to give it to your
desired senior(s) in a way other than leaving it on the table where all the
gift baskets will be.
